Laura Benedict has graced the many stages of rock and pop for more than 40 years. She is one of the most sought after singers in Austin performing with several bands (Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes and Jumpstart) while also performing on the stage at Zach Theater in professional productions. Some of the high lights of her career have been being nominated for a B. Iden Payne Award for her work in Beehive’s Rockin Christmas at Zach, performing as a guest artist twice at the White House for then president George W Bush, being inducted into the Iowa Rock N Roll hall of fame, performing at Republican conventions in both New York and Philadelphia, opening shows for the Neville Brothers, The Pointer Sisters and the Oak Ridge Boys to name a few, being a featured singer on Walt Disney Records, being nominated for a Grammy award for her work on the recording of “Bugs Life Sing-Along” and being the featured voice in the long running radio and TV jingle for ThunderCloud Subs. Laura is a truly gifted singer, actress and all around amazing performer. In her cabaret she will be performing a wide range of songs from country, to swing, to R&B and ballads. Also featuring the talents of Jamie Hilboldt on keyboards (Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Archie Bell and the Drells, The Funk Brothers), Lannie Hilboldt on bass (The Drifters, The Chiffons and Chris Montez) and Kevin Hall on drums (Hal Ketchum, Omar and the Howlers)
This event will be outdoors in the area behind the Palace. We will have chairs set up but you are welcome to bring your own. You are also able to bring your own snacks and drinks. The event will be general admission, but we will continue to socially distance groups.

Songs from the Soul featuring Yesenia McNett
Yesenia McNett is a singer and actor from New Braunfels who has been performing on stages across Texas for over twenty-five years. Yesenia sings with her San Antonio area bands “The Groove Doctors” and “Rock N Soul,” and from Austin to Houston with “The Time Warps” and “The Brass Tax.” She performs regular musical tributes to Linda Ronstadt and country legend Patsy Cline nationally. Her vocal blend of musical theater, jazz, pop, classic country and Latin music make her a versatile performer. Yesenia has been on Palace stages several times as Patsy Cline and has performed tributes to the great music of Johnny & June Carter Cash, Heart, Grand Funk Railroad, and Aretha Franklin. An ’04 graduate of Southwestern University, she is always happy to return to her beloved Georgetown.
Yesenia is the choral director and pianist for the Unitarian Universalist church of New Braunfels, a member of Actor’s Equity, and teaches voice and piano.
