2019 Summer Theatre Camps
June – August 2019
Inclusion Summer CampsThis summer, the Palace is proud to introduce summer camp offerings for the entire community! Our Inclusion Camps are similar to our traditional camps in spirit in structure but with the reduced time memorization requirements, and the increased teacher to camper ratio, these camps are perfect for students with special processing and sensory needs. Camps meet Monday – Friday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Palace’s Education Center. All camps culminate with a performance on Friday at 6:30 pm at the Palace’s Playhouse.
Session 1 – June 10-14: Fairy Tales & Folk Stories
Session 2 – June 24-28: Under the Sea
Session 3 – July 22-26: Around the World
Session 4 – July 29-August 2: America the BeautifulCampers will rotate among three stations: Acting, Music and Movement, and Visual Art, all while working towards a end-of-the week performance! Social and emotional skill building and teamwork will be a primary emphasis. Our Inclusion Camps are for performing artists ages 7-adults. Camps will be divided into three groups: elementary-aged students, middle and high schoolers, and adults. All camps will maintain a 3:1 staff to student ratio. Our camps are appropriate for artists on the Autism Spectrum, those with Downs Syndrome, ADHD, or any student with an Individualized Education Program or 504 Plan. Camps are $200 per week. Your registration fee will cover all program costs including scripts, costumes, props, and art supplies. Financial assistance is available. Please email us at email@example.com for an application.
