Envision the Doug Smith Performance Center, home for our dynamic and growing Palace Education Programs. Help us prepare a place for building confidence, creativity, community and more.
WHY WE’RE BUILDING
In 2004, The Palace Theatre created an Education Department to offer summer camps for children. Since then, our variety of Education Programs have been highly successful, and have positively influenced the lives of many of our students and their families. Because of this, our Education Department continues to grow year after year.
But with growth, there come limitations, and for the first time, in the summer of 2015, we had to turn students away because there was simply no more room. This past summer, a rental space across the street became available and we added almost 200 spots to our summer camps. These spots were filled almost immediately.
For us, it’s easy to see why our programs are overflowing. we instill CONFIDENCE in our students through skill building, we nurture CREATIVITY to build something bigger than any individual, we encourage our students to take risks and step out as LEADERS, and we foster a sense of COMMUNITY by welcoming each person’s unique contributions.
We are preparing our students for their futures, wherever they may lead.
By helping us build the Doug Smith Performance Center, you will be giving us the space and tools to allow even more students to benefit from our programs. Donate today and…
