For 90 years, the Georgetown Palace Theatre has been entertaining Williamson County audiences. Over 300 musicals and plays have been performed live on our historic stage! We are so proud of the unique history of the Palace and the people who have come together over the years to sustain a theatre and expand our services to include educational programs, community outreach, and accessible, affordable entertainment.
Through this time we have learned together, grown together, and evolved together. But this global pandemic has placed the Georgetown Palace Theatre in serious jeopardy.
- 7 Productions from our 2019-2020 season canceled, over 7,000 empty seats
- More than 30 of our education classes, 4 productions canceled
- Reduction of staff hours
We need to raise funds in order to keep the lights on, pay debt service, utilities, staff salaries, maintenance, insurance, as well as the future costs to produce our productions and educational programs. These are difficult times and we need the Palace to be there when we come out the other side of this crisis.
We are hopeful about the future but we need your help now more than ever.
What role will you choose? From Fans ($100-249) to Heroes ($10,000+), there are no small parts.
A gift of $200 gives a student a semester of vocal classes and a lifelong love of singing. A gift of $500 provides props for an entire mainstage production. A donation of $2,000 lights the stage and $3,500 builds the set for an upcoming show. A $6,000 gift costumes a cast of 40 in a future block-buster musical. Any donation will play a big part in our ability to move forward. In addition, a generous donor has pledged to match up to $40,000 in donations that are designated to payroll, in order to keep our staff working.
