Junie B. Jones Jr. The Musical
for young artists age 6 – 10
Performances: May 9 & 12 on the Springer Stage
Casting Assessments: January 27, 2019
Here comes Junie B. Jones The Musical Jr.– a delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park’s best-selling books, brought to life in a delightful adaptation created specifically for young performers. Featuring many lovable characters and fun-filled songs, Junie B. Jones Jr. will capture your young performers’ hearts – just as the books captivated an entire generation of students! Join Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store: Junie’s best friend Lucille has found new best friends – and Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. While in Mr. Scary’s class Junie has trouble reading the blackboard – and she may need glasses. Add in a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting.
Junie B Jones Jr. will be directed and choreographed by Ashley Zoch with music direction by Dr. Jenn Tucker.
Assessments for casting will be held Sunday, January 27, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Palace’s Education Center (216 W. 8th Street, Georgetown). No preparation is necessary for the assessments. All registered students will receive performing roles in the show!
Junie B. rehearses Sundays from 4:00 – 7:00 starting February 3 (no rehearsal on 3/10 or 4/21) through May 5 and will perform on Thursday, May 9 at 7:00 pm (6:00 pm call-time) and Sunday May 12 at 6:00 pm (5:00 pm call-time) on the Palace’s Springer Stage.
